Site Updates

I’ve just given Credit Card Victim a bit of a face lift. Sorry to anyone that noticed any down time. It should all be smooth sailing from now on.

1. I’ve moved hosts, I don’t think there will be any noticeable difference in speed but it will save me $15 a month, it all helps.
2. I’ve upgraded the version of Wordpress I’m running which has quite a few benefits.
3. I’m using a new theme, which I think looks much better than my old one.
4. I’ve opened up commenting thanks to the Askimet spam filter that comes with this version of Wordpress
5. I’ve installed the Do Follow plug in which means that you’ll get Google gravy for any links in your comments.
6. I’ve deleted about 4,700 comments, the first couple of pages I looked at were all evil spam, sorry if anyones legitimate comments were deleted. I have money to make and no time to sift through all the junk.

That’s about it for now, I’m still playing with the layout but everything else seems to be working fine.

Things aren’t improving

Two of my credit cards are tapped out, and I have about $800 in bills waiting to be paid.

I could solve this pretty simply by selling my shares that I financed on a credit card cash advance but if I sold now I’d lose about $1000. I’d prefer to hold on, even if it means paying $75 a month in interest. Though if I took the loss then I have the option to claim it as a tax deduction against future income. Decisions, Decisions.

I also need a few things for around the house, but they are on the back burner until I get my finances sorted out.

I’m finding my day job very busy at the moment, which leaves me drained and lacking energy to work on my internet projects. A couple of them have great potential but I’ll just have to wait until my work backs off a little for this to improve.

I just nuked somewhere around 1700 spam comments that had been left since my last post.
There was so many that I didn’t even bother checking to see if any were real.
If you left a comment then I’m sorry and please feel free to try again.
I’m going to change the settings so that only registered users can post, sorry if that annoys anyone but I’m not prepared to waste my time on dealing with this garbage.
