Not About Credit Cards
This post isn’t about credit cards.
When I arrived home from work today there was a single red rose waiting for me at the door.
Inside was a short handwritten note, simply saying “Thinking of you. Happy Valentines to You, XO”
I have no idea who it’s from but I’m flattered to think that someone thinks enough of me to send me a flower.
I briefly entertained the idea of sending a text message to every girl I know thanking them and see what responses I get but the truth might be too disappointing.
For now I’ve put the note in my wallet and will be inspecting the handwriting of everyone I come across to see if I can work out who sent it.
I’d initially narrowed it down to someone that knows where I live and I didn’t think that would be a long list, however a quick look in the phone book shows that my number is listed at the correct address for the first time in five years, so that rules out that theory.
Anyway, just needed to share, next time I write it will be all about the credit cards.

Just teasing.

Feb 28, 06 at 8:07 pmThat wouldn’t have surprised me, turns out it was a friend I had seen the previous night, she felt bad about gloating that she was the only one with a date for valentines day. It was a nice thought but the mystery of not knowing was much more exciting !
