After putting together yesterdays Credit Card Status Report I put together a list of things for me to do by the end of the month to claw back some of the extra spending I’ve done on my credit cards.
-
Ebay Auction - I have a box of stuff under my desk that I was going to put on Ebay when I moved house, that was around three months ago and it’s still sitting there. estimated income $200
-
Tax Return - I need to sit down and do some serious bookwork so I can lodge my tax return. Due to my high business related credit card debt, the business will show a loss which should give me a nifty little refund. estimated income $1000
Prepare Invoices - I have a couple of old web design clients that I still provide hosting for, I haven’t sent them an invoice in over a year (I hate paperwork and asking people for money) estimated income $1000 (if they pay)
-
Transfer Hosting - I currently have my webhosting split between two different hosts (ironically they have merged) but I’m paying about $40 a month more than I have to which is going straight onto my credit cards. I will transfer my sites to one account. estimated income $40
-
Create More Websites - This is a long term project, currently my web business makes me about $200 a month which covers my hosting and adsl connection and some of my business related credit card payments. In the short term I’d like to increase that to $500 a month so it covers all it’s related credit card payments, and give me some extra money for expansion.
So conservatively I’ll have an extra $1240 to use to pay off the credit cards this month. The invoices and the business growth will take a little longer to see money, but atleast I’ll have the ball rolling in my direction.
I think I have a plan, I’ve been stuck in the house for the last four days and need to get out, so I’ll start on it tomorrow.
I’m going to kick these credit cards in the ass.
