May is going off for credit card payments. I took the money from the bank that I needed for my rent and bond. I realised it was pay day tomorrow so I could take what was left in my account and put it towards my credit card bills. So I just paid another $650 off of Gold Visa One. (I haven’t had one suggestion for nick names of my credit cards yet)
This brings my total credit card payments for May to $1150, which is in excess of my $1000 goal, but doesnt quite cover the regular charges that go onto my credit cards.
But I have a full pay packet arriving in my bank account tomorrow, and if I stick to my usual spending habits then I will have atleast half that available to put towards the credit cards, plus I still have some money in my business account that I will be transferring to one of my business credit cards (once the month end cycle has completed), optimistically I hope to have another $800 available for credit card payments by the end of the month.
This extra $800 will go some way to repairing the damage of April where my credit card balances grew by $716.
I was thinking June may be difficult to reach my payment goals. But having thought about it, I can probably scare up $300 from each pay in June (and there are three pay days in June) plus I will have a couple of hundred dollars from my business income, plus I have $200 worth of casual work in June as well.
So I might be on target to achieve my credit card goals in June.
July is another story. It’s quite possible I won’t have a job in July, even though I had an interview today and another one next week I still err on the side of caution. So until I know for sure I will have to hold back some credit card payments just in case.
