$200 Token Contribution

Ted

I payed $200 towards Gold Card One.

I know it’s only a token contribution, but it’s more than double the minimum payment required and 20% of the goal amount I need to pay a month to kill my credit card debt in under two years.
I just need to find another $800 within 3 weeks to keep up with my goal. I have about $400 coming into my business account which will go to my credit cards, which brings me to 60% of my monthly goal.

I would have liked to pay more towards my credit card debt but as I’ve mentioned before I’m looking for somewhere to rent and I’m still not sure of how much cash I’ll need to pay for bond and rent in advance.

On the good news front I have applied for a rental at $160 a week, which means I’m up for $960 to move in. As the rental market is a little tight, I had been prepared to pay up to $220 a week for the right place, so I actually have an extra $400 in my savings account that I will divert to my credit cards if this application is succesful.

Which will almost bring me to $1000 off my credit cards, but not quite meeting my goal as I have automatic credit charges for insurance, web hosting, and internet access.

So I’ll still need to come up with another $190, but I think I can find that in my next pay packet.

Next month might not be so easy, but I’ll worry about that next month.
