I need a new car

My current car is a 1976 Holden Kingswood.

It’s been in my family for 27 of it’s 29 years. I was the third generation to take possession of the heirloom late in 1999 when it had an amazing 90,000kms on the clock. The car was almost imaculate. Do I want to borrow more money at an exhorbinant rate?

Gold Card One sent me a limit increase offer this week, from $8,000 to $11,500.

The only reason I am recording this is it’s an easy way to see how many limit increase offers I recieve in a year.

They politely let me know that the limit increase is pre approved, just sign here.

But in what could possibly be construed as a socially responsible policy they remind me that the minimum monthly payment would increase from $160 to $230, and ask me to declare that I can cope with this increase without substantial hardship.

It’s in the bin.
